Creating a network installation image is a separate process from performing the installation. If you are planning to install the application on a UNIX system, you can create the network images on a Windows system, or vice versa. You must perform the following steps for the base release file and again for the patch set file. This is done using the Siebel Network Image Creator (SNIC). However, the files that you download cannot be installed directly, and you are required to extract these files before installation.
